Text Twist 2 is the follow up to the popular Text Twist game. The series is widely popular with casual and word gamers from around the world. This second installment comes with a wide array of new features, making it even more tantalizing for its audience.

Gameplay is easy and fun. You don't have to worry if you're not big into gaming. It's very easy to learn, and it's got a fun and inviting atmosphere.

In Text Twist 2, you're given a string of letters that you must shuffle around to create words, then, using a Scrabble-style format, lay the words out. You must use all of your letters to advance to the next level, so this can get somewhat challenging, especially in later levels. This is also especially difficult when you're given letters that aren't exactly common, or too many vowels.

There are several modes to play, including crossword mode and lightening mode (a personal favorite, wherein you race the clock). These include all of the original modes from the first game, as well as new additions made especially for this installment. The Word of the Day is a nice little feature that especially appeals to the logophiles out there!

This is a great way to relax while expanding your vocabulary. It's definitely one of the more fun and creative ways to find new words, especially when you're desperately arranging letters to make words out of seemingly unplayable tiles. Great for casual and newbie gamers, or people who just enjoy words. With tons of modes and cute graphics, it's hard to not like it (even if only for a couple of rounds).

Pros:

  • Three additional game modes
  • Approxamentally 25,000 words to discover
  • Engaging, bright graphics

Cons:

  • Repetitive
  • Not for those who don't enjoy words
